The Forgotten X100VI Feature

The secret feature is the OVF. The optical viewfinder. The forgotten feature that Fujifilm should keep, not drop.

I owned every X100 and I was always an EVF guy. If it is in the frame, I can see it in my EVF. But I have converted.

The OVF is perfect for street photography because you see the frame lines AND the subjects entering the frame before they arrive. You can time your shots. With an OVF, you do not miss.

It is especially valuable for layered shots. The best venues are busy places like farmers markets with mixing crowds. Shooting fish in a barrel? Yeah. So what?

I think about the math of layered photos. One in 20,000? One in a million? They are so hard that the good ones make me wonder, how can that not be fake? How can that not be set up?

One caveat. The leaf shutter is literally the quietest camera ever made. So quiet that with the OVF, I missed shots. The camera did not fire when I thought it did. You have to verify the shot actually happened.

I love this camera. Sorry for the clickbait, I do not know what else to do on this channel.

I make no money from this channel and I do not want to. I just want to take pictures and share them with you.
