Got dragged to Dollywood today. I don’t mind Dollywood, but I have been here 433 times, and you cannot exactly do street photography of random families without people thinking you are a creeper.
So. New plan. I have had this Ricoh GR III Street Edition for six months and never used the 0.3 meter or 1 meter snap focus. Today we test both, and the subject is crazy hats. People in hats are somewhere between 0.3 and 1 meter, right? (That damn metric system.)
Full confession, I am an old school half-press-to-focus shooter, and snap focus took some getting used to. Boom. Boom. Missed focus more than I want to admit before I found the groove.
