This is why I have a YouTube channel. So I can answer comments like this one. “Street photography isn’t real photography. Start shooting real photography.”
Okay. What is real photography, then? Abstract? Architecture? Macro? Astro? My money says it was a landscape photographer. The people who shoot mountains that have been there a million years, in fall colors that change to the same colors every year, standing tripod to tripod with a dozen other photographers all getting the exact same shot.
Here is what a street photographer knows. Every picture you take will never, ever be recreated. That moment, that person, that expression, that light, that background. It existed once and you caught it. You made it sing with shadows and light and color and weirdos.
That is not real photography? Please.
