Full press snap sounds self-explanatory. It is. I am just old and stubborn, and I promised you would watch me learn this camera in real time. So here we are.
The lesson that took me a few tries. Full press snap is not the same thing as snap focus, and the half press is the whole ballgame. Half press gets you your normal focus, tracking, continuous, whatever you have set. A full, deliberate press bypasses all of that and fires at the snap distance you dialed in. Three meters, whatever that is in American. Boom.
Push with purpose. That is the key to this camera, and it is hit or miss until it becomes muscle memory.
Bonus feature in here too. Highlight priority metering, which I may have had on other cameras and never once used. For the kind of contrasty shooting I do, it matters.
