I have called myself the dumbest photo YouTuber on many occasions, and I have the footage to back it up. Dropping lenses during reviews. Unboxings where I can barely keep the camera in frame. Discovering features on cameras I have owned for years, live, on video. “Oh. I didn’t know it did that.”
So allow me to introduce pocket panic.
All summer the Ricoh GR III rides in my shorts. Deep pockets, cargo pockets, slide it in, pull it out, perfect. Then fall arrives and I switch to pants. Not jeans. Not chinos. Joggers. Tighter joggers. And sliding a GR III into a jogger pocket produces a silhouette that nobody asked for. Boy, do I have an odd shaped… camera.
The world’s most pocketable camera, defeated by autumn. First world problems indeed.
