I hope you get as big a kick out of this as I did.
I goof off with AI. Meta AI, Claude, ChatGPT, asking weird questions to see what it actually knows. So I listed out all my cameras and lenses, pretended I had Gear Acquisition Syndrome (pretended), and asked it the question. With all this, what do I need next? I’m itching. What can I buy?
The first camera it suggested? The Fujifilm X100VII.
The X100 7. People are still waiting on X100VI pre-orders that took forever, and the AI is already announcing the sequel. I have seen nothing about an X100VII anywhere, because it does not exist. The AI just invented it, confidently, the way it does.
I play with these things all the time and they still surprise me. Here we are, announcing new cameras with AI. God help the rumor sites.
