I used to live and work in Boston. WZOU, 1992 to 93. So going back with a camera felt like visiting an old friend who has had some work done. Same bones, different face.
Boston is a street photographer’s town. The neighborhoods change block by block, the people are characters, and the light off the harbor does things that make you stop walking. I spent the day wandering with the camera and just letting the city happen.
I shoot the way I always shoot. Walk, watch, wait, click. JPEG only, no chimping every frame, no overthinking. The city does the work if you let it.
The video is a day in Boston with a camera. If you have ever lived somewhere and gone back, you know the feeling. Everything is familiar and nothing is the same.
