Street Photography Without The Bullshit.

Top Street Photography Lens Choices | Fujifilm X Series Cameras

People ask what the best Fujifilm lens is for street photography. The honest answer depends on who you are, what you are comfortable with, and, to be quite honest, what you are afraid of. So let’s break it down by generation.

Gen X. You grew up feral, like I did. You take the 16mm prime. On a crop body that is 24mm, about as wide as you can go before distortion takes over. You get close. You get environment. If you are Gen Z and afraid to answer the door or the phone, this is not the lens for you.

Boomers. The 23mm f/2. Your 35mm equivalent. Close enough without being too close, because you cannot run from anything anymore. Great build, great photos, and it was my first real street shooter build.

Millennials and Gen Z. You are lazy and you do not want to move. You need the zoom. The 16-55 lets you sit where you sit and let the world come to you.

Pick your generation. Pick your lens.
