The number one thing you need to know when chasing your dream job, whatever it is, entertainer or anything else. Be debt free.
You’ve heard it a thousand times from people my age. I heard it too, and I didn’t listen. Before I knew it I was ridiculously in debt, and there is nothing more stressful than the overnight phone calls, the cars repossessed because I didn’t pay for them, all of it, while trying to build the career I wanted.
The stress would have been so much less with low overhead. If you can make do with a little, you will end up with a lot.
I am working my dream job. I’ve done it for decades. I live in a big house, I make good money, I travel the world. And the number one thing I can hand you is this. Say no to the debt that will swallow you and suffocate you. Do that, and you will make it in your dream job, whatever it is.
