Heading to Montreal and Quebec City to shoot, and I want your thoughts before I go.
First, the pronunciation. People from Quebec say “ke-BECK.” Alex Trebek said it. I’ve always said “kwe-BECK” and I’m trying to be respectful, but it’s a war in my head. Bear with me.
Second, the real question. A photographer friend who just shot up there told me to be careful. Petty crime, snatchings. Phones, purses, and cameras straight off necks, like this one. This strap is thin but it’s strong, and I’m pretty vigilant when I shoot, but I also wear the camera and forget about it, which is exactly when it happens.
I was last there in ninth grade. It seemed fine. A while ago, granted.
