Shooting in a Snow Storm

Whiteout up on the mountain. Blizzard-like conditions. Not that I was going to ski anyway.

But here is the thing they don’t tell you. These conditions make for great photography. Flat light, falling snow, the world reduced to shapes and weather. Everybody else goes inside. The street photographer goes out.

This is why you keep a camera with you. Storms are subject matter.
