The Nikon Comedy Wildlife Awards are out, and it is my solemn duty to provide commentary. Terrible commentary, as promised. Let’s look at the winners.
Rigor mortis squirrel. That squirrel is actually dead. Not sure the photographer knew.
A mantis fresh out of its audition for Wicked. The Fail Army broken neck award. The AI award, where they made the fish in the eagle’s talons look like it’s flying behind him.
Polyamory, from the youth category. An American bald eagle at a political rally, and we’ll call this one Mom’s Boyfriend. The boyfriend is on the right.
The Joey Tribbiani award. How you doin’.
And the award for taking a great picture after a chimpanzee ate off the photographer’s fingers.
I’m making all of this up. The photos are real, the awards are real, and they’re wonderful. Go look at the actual winners, and then come back here for the commentary that the Nikon people were too classy to provide.
