“Can an avowed street photographer who sold all of his landscape and wildlife photography gear do justice to landscape photography?”
That is the question I took to Yellowstone. No long lenses. No tripod. No ND filter. No polarizer. Just my minimal street kit and whatever the park decided to give me.
The results are in the video, including a waterfall shot I am pretty proud of. And here is my conclusion: “Sometimes good enough is good enough.”
Landscape photography is up for interpretation. That is the best part about it. You do not have to be that guy with seventeen filters and a carbon fiber tripod to make a landscape photograph that means something.
You don’t have to be that guy to shoot landscape. You just have to show up with a camera and pay attention.
There is a longer video coming on this one. Stay tuned.
