Practice Makes Imperfect

I am a fan of flawed beauty. Imperfection. Because nothing you do is perfect and nothing ever will be perfect.

I subscribe to practice makes imperfect. Practice makes you better every day, until you are good enough to see what you need to improve next time. But you will never be perfect. So embrace it.

The only questions that matter: is it good enough for you? Are you happy with the work? Do not chase perfection, because your perfect is different from someone else’s perfect. Let your work stand as your historical record.

I spent thirty years as a talent coach in radio. I know a little about getting better at a craft. And I want photographers to support each other and lift each other up with good critiques. The kind that says, what if you did that a little different. I love getting those.

So here is the call to action. Get off the couch. Get out. Do your thing. Show it publicly. Leave a history behind. This channel is proof you can just go have fun. I walked two hours today and got eight thousand steps out of it.

I am sneaking up on a thousand subscribers. Not bad for a guy who is just out here having a good time.
