Hello. I am the Canon EOS R8. Big sensor, little bitty body. And with my significant meat paws, the pinky just flails down there with nothing to hold. I need that pinky fresh for propping up my phone while doomscrolling.
The fix is the Canon EG-E1 extension grip, and step one is removing the battery door. Find the little lever, pull it like that, and boom, off it comes. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. Line the grip up, keep it on camera if you can, and boom. Look at that. Would you please.
I got the silver one. Do I need the matching thumb grip now? Gold leaf? No. I like it as is.
If you have big hands and an R8, this adds the dimension the camera should have shipped with.
