Is there a photo you would give your life to take?
A guy died about six years ago at a rally car event. You’ve seen rally. Cars spinning wildly off the road, flipping, taking people with them. I wouldn’t stand in the same county. This man crawled into a restricted area, signed a waiver to do it, which in a court of law means nothing, by the way, and he got run over and killed.
Six years later, the coroner called it a preventable death. Yeah. It was preventable. Don’t be stupid. Stay back. Use a longer lens. There’s a reason they make them.
I can think of exactly one photo worth dying for. First human on Mars, stepping off the lander, taking the picture, and then realizing there’s no way back. That one. Maybe.
