“Would you trust an expensive camera to a strap this thin?”
I am holding the strap that came with the cage for my action camera, and the little cord that attaches it is… let us just say it is not inspiring confidence. It is tiny.
“An action camera? Sure. A heavier mirrorless camera? Hmmmm.”
Now, before the comments come for me: yes, I know Peak Design anchors use a similarly small attachment point. Theirs is a bit more substantial, but the principle is the same. We hang thousands of dollars of camera off a little piece of cord and never think twice.
Nothing broke in this video. No cameras were harmed. This is just a street photographer staring at a tiny piece of cord, wondering if we all put a little too much faith in our camera straps.
So I will ask again. Would you?
