Yes. Yes it was. A cookie. On my camera. While I was out shooting.
I am not going to tell you the whole story here because the video exists, but let us just say that street photography sometimes involves eating on the go, and cameras sometimes end up exactly where the snacks are. Occupational hazard of being the casual camera guy.
The photo came out fine, by the way. The cookie survived too. Mostly. Everybody wins except my shirt.
If you have ever looked at your gear and thought, how did that get there, congratulations, you are my people. Street photography is not a sterile hobby. It happens in the real world, and the real world has crumbs.
