I love going out with a project. A color. A thing. A theme that forces your eye to work.
Today’s theme is one I almost never touch. Slow shutter speed panning. I’m in Happy Holler, Knoxville’s little bohemian pocket, during the Happy Holler-roo, and there is a soapbox derby whipping down the street asking to be panned at a 120th of a second.
Problem. Bright day. No neutral density filter in the bag. I might be screwed, and the title of this video tells you how it went.
But that is the point of a project day. Light, color, and weirdos, at shutter speeds I have no business using. Can I find one tack sharp frame in the blur? Watch the attempts. All of them. Including the fails, because this channel shows the fails.
