I always appreciate when there is justice in the world. Especially in the world of photography.
Des Moines, Iowa. A photographer named Jeffrey Gray, 62 years old, ran a studio where young girls came in for cheerleading and pageant photos, headshots, modeling portfolios. And he was taping them without consent while they changed. Girls as young as seven.
I love watching a story evolve from this headline, charged, to this headline. Sentenced. Fifteen to thirty years. He is 62. Do the math. Get this man off the streets and out of studios forever.
And you have to appreciate the lawyering. His attorney said he has been a good citizen, that there was a period between 2013 and 2015 that brings us here. They found pictures going back to 2005. You think this man stumbled into this in 2013? He has had this sickness a long time. He just finally got caught.
Photographers hold a position of trust, especially with kids. He used it as a hunting license. Fifteen to thirty is the system working. Good riddance.
