This one hit a nerve. A big one. It is now the biggest video on the channel, so either a lot of you agree or the gatekeepers are watching through their fingers.
Some article in The Phoblographer tried to tell photographers that if you appear in videos about your photography, you are more content creator than photographer. My answer to that is the same as my answer to anyone who tries to set the rules for you: “Nobody gets to revoke your photographer card.”
Here is the part the old guard does not want to hear. Word of mouth in 2026 is social media. The traditional business of photography is gone, and the new business is yourself as the subject. Nobody handed me permission, and I did not ask for it.
Does it take good pictures? That is it. That is the test. Everything else is noise.
