Let me do this in my best Thomas Heaton voice. This video is not sponsored by MPB.
Because MPB and KEH are not the best place to sell your camera, especially around the holidays, when people will pay more for gear on eBay. Thirty, forty, sometimes fifty percent more. The trade-in places know you are coming, and they will lowball you for the safety of it. They are safe. I am not saying they are not. I am saying safe costs you half your money.
Selling on eBay is safer than you think if your listing does the work. Scammers skip detailed listings. Lots of rich photos, a full description, shutter count, every flaw listed, every identifying feature. They look at that and go find somebody easier.
And if a low-feedback bidder shows up, cancel the bid. Protect yourself and get paid what the camera is worth.
